So here is the castle cake I made for my girls 4th birthday.  I used the roll inside some wrapping paper for the towers and ice cream cones for the turrets.  She was a happy bunny and I was pretty pleased with it too ...

Rocky Road Love ...

So this is a fail safe winner of a home made treat... Rocky Road.
I melt aprox 600gms of a good quality milk chocolate, then throw in about 100gms mini marshmallows, 3 chopped up mars bars, maltesers, 3 crushed crunchy bars, and lastly i throw in a few white chocolate buttons and sprinkle with sugar strands.  Put the mixture into a tin lined with baking parchment and leave in the fridge to set.  When set cut into small pieces as although fantastic these are very sweet & loaded with calories.  Enjoy ...

Rockett St George ...

I have been a big fan of the Rockett St George website for a long time now.  Every time I look at it I want practically everything on there.  However this season there is sooo much gorgeous 'stuff' on there. So many amazing prints I would love for my home:

Kitchenware including printed plates & egg cups, kids milk bottles & chalkboard labels for the pantry jars.

Kids paper placemats that can be changed into paper planes - perfect for a kids party!
My love of sticky tape is continuing with this little doll design,
But best of all are these little ceramic birds that hook into a lamp shade... now I know I need some of these in my life!

Love, love, love Rockett St George ...

Zeena ...

I recently whilst shopping stumbled across some beautiful sticky tape with heart detail and little birds.  I used the tape to wrap presents with brown paper and it looks great.  I decided to look further into the brand behind the tape and came across 'Zeena'.  Some lovely printed textiles all designed & manufactured in East London.  Zeena also offers printing classes in her East London workshop.  Great little Scandinavian style prints on cushions, pin cushions, lavender bags and that fantastic sticky tape.

Take a look at her collection:

Lalaloopsy ...

My 3 year old is slightly obsessed with her Lalaloopsy dolls, she loves them and plays tea parties with them in her play tent.  When researching fancy dress outfits for my babies 1st birthday I came across these:

not only are they hilarious but strangely so like the actual dolls.  I think i have to get pillow featherbed's outfit.  The wigs are brilliant and look just like the dolls hair.

So funny, they made my day! ...

Shwings . . .

I have been looking at these fab shoe wings for a while now and have finally bought a couple of pairs for my daughters.  They are great fun to add to any lace-up shoe.  They come in a variety of colours, prints & even glitter fabrics.  If your child doesn't wear lace-up shoes there is an alternative style with slots to put velcro straps through.  My 3 year old thinks they look great although she did ask if they would make her fly?!...

The company is from the U.S so postage to U.K is expensive but take a look at the range of colours available:

However I ordered mine through amazon.

Bubble London ...

Went to Bubble, the kids wear trade show on Sunday to see whats new for winter 2013.  All I can say is WOW!!!  So many lovely new things for the tiddlers.  Met many gorgeous people and came away wanting almost everything.  here are some of my highlights:

Beau Loves - I have talked about this London brand before but their winter collection stood out a mile.  Fantastic graphics using a bunny & owl motifs, great colour palette staying true to their roots using greys & black with highlights of mustard & gold and pops of bring red.  The prints are very strong and as always most of the collection i unisex.  I will be purchasing most of the collection for my 2 girls.

The other exciting news from Beau Loves is their new range of childrens bedding.  Using the harlequin print, stripe and mask print from this season & last printed onto white cotton the bed was a real show stopper.

The british brand Hucklebones looked delightful.  Beautiful girls fashion with luxurious fabrics and pretty details such as peter pan collars, bows and vintage inspired silhouettes.  Stunning!

Grubbies stayed true to their roots expanding their traditional dungarees range with some cut-off shorter shapes and beautiful woodland printed scarfs.
